ByWinslowCampfire is the online extension of my long-running in-person program, Photography: The Basics and Beyond, taught live to over 150,000 students through my work at ByWinslow.com. It’s built as a calm, complete digital darkroom path, designed to help photographers gain confidence using the camera and computer they already own.
The feeling here is simple… like sitting around a campfire, talking photography from concept, to capture, to the digital darkroom, and finally to a finished photograph that feels complete.
Sometimes that leads to a print on a wall. Sometimes it simply leads to clarity and confidence in your work.
Beginners, intermediate, and advanced photographers are all welcome here. If you’re curious, willing to slow down, and interested in learning how photography really works, you’ll fit right in.
We take photography seriously… but not ourselves. There’s zero ego around this fire.
